Ted is a senior partner in San Francisco. For over 20 years he has helped clients develop and implement profitable growth strategies. Ted’s expertise includes business model innovation, product innovation, marketing, and sales strategies, plus the organizational requirements and implications of growth.

Ted has contributed to business books on business model innovation, including Value Migration, The Profit Zone, and Profit Patterns (co-authored with Adrian Slywotzky). He has developed methodologies for constructing new business models and corporate portfolios. His experience includes testing customer response to new offers, revealing the drivers of B-to-B and B-to-C customer choices.

Ted has lived and worked in the US, Europe, and Latin America, and has worked extensively in Asia. His business sector focus includes IT and medical technology (hardware, software, and services), media and entertainment, and financial services.

Ted began consulting at Corporate Decisions, a growth strategy specialist spun off from Bain and Co. When Corporate Decisions sold to Mercer Management Consulting, Ted led Mercer’s US West Coast practice and chaired its global platform investment committee.

Ted serves on a World Bank board that promotes global financial services inclusion. Over the past 30 years he has helped to develop one of the world’s larger microfinance networks. He is on the board of the Pacific Boychoir Academy, recipient of three Grammy™ awards.

Ted holds an MBA in marketing and strategy from the Wharton Business School. At Wharton, Ted managed the consulting services arm of the Wharton Small Business Development Center. He holds a B.S. in Political Science from Wheaton College. Ted and his family live in East Bay of San Francisco.
