John Riley

John is a senior engagement manager in Prophet’s Zurich office with a passion for solving complex brand and growth-related issues taking a customer oriented approach.

In his nearly 7 years at Prophet, John has worked across a range of industries, tackling a global set of issues related to growth, customer experience and brand relevance. Using a range of approaches – leveraging analytics, creativity and inspiration – John’s problem solving approach is rigorous, multidisciplinary and pragmatic.

John’s past projects include growth strategy, proposition development, marketing strategy customer experience and brand positioning. He has worked in a range of industries across the globe, with a special focus on those with complex value chains within financial services and B2B industries, including Swiss Re, MetLife, Zurich Financial, Anglo American, Phillips 66, Landis+Gyr (Toshiba), but also including Kering, Samsung Electronics, Brunswick Corporation and Keurig Green Mountain.
Prior to working at Prophet, John worked at Lippincott, focusing on brand positioning development, naming, visual system and identity development for clients such as Xylem (formerly ITT Water), ForeSee Results, Kemper Insurance (formerly Unitrin) and C Spire (formerly Cellular South).

John received a B.A in Political Science with distinction from Yale University, focusing on political communications and media strategy
